Daffy: 1947

In "Along Came Daffy", two snowbound brothers (who bear a striking resemblance to Yosemite Sam) are starving. Enter our hero, Daffy, as a salesman offering "the handiest, dandiest little bookfull of gastronomical surprises that ever tempted the jaded palate of a fastidious food fancier". Quickly the chase is on around the cabin as the two Sams try to catch Daffy for thier meal.

Daffy can't get a word in edgewise (for a change) as he runs for his life, and once he is caught, he explains that he has been authorized by his company to provide a free six-course turkey dinner (which just happens to be in his suitcase.)

The resident mice devour the dinner for themselves, leaving the brothers hungrier than ever. When Daffy returns to thier door to sell them some after-dinner mints, he is dragged back inside for yet another chase. "Well, here we go again!"

Best gag for me: Daffy is completely oblivious to the fact that the brothers are starving, as he boasts about his own full stomach. "Don't bother fixing anything for me...I just finished my lunch. Burp."

Note:Sorry about the brief post today and the lack of posting the past few days. Work has been busy.

Warners should have used the Sam twins in other cartoons!
